Dr. Steven Fors

Dr. Steven Fors

Dr. Steven Fors, Clinic Director, was born in Wichita, Kansas and raised in Sacramento, California. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of California at Santa Barbara and at Santa Barbara Community College. He graduated in 1984 from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland Oregon. He practiced in Portland, taught at the college and conducted seminars in chiropractic technique for students and field doctors for one year before relocating to Massachusetts and founding Westport Chiropractic in April of 1986.

Doctor Fors is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and of the Massachusetts Chiropractic Society. He is a past president of the Southeastern Massachusetts Chiropractic Society. Dr. Fors is Board certified in Rehabilitation. He has completed the postgraduate board eligibility programs in Chiropractic Neurology, Graston Technique and Active Release Technique. He is a certified practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming with extensive training in Ericksonian Hypnosis. He also has hundreds of hours of postgraduate training in Sports Injuries, Soft Tissue Injury Diagnosis and Treatment, Temporomandibular Joint Disorders, Extremity (foot, knee, shoulder, etc.) Injury Diagnosis and Treatment.

Doctor Fors has a long history of community service. He is past chairman of the Community Center Playground Committee, and the Westport Recreation Committee. He is a founding member and past president of Westport Youth Athletic Association. He is presently Westport's elected Town Meeting Moderator.

Dr. Fors lives in Westport with his wife Lyn. In his spare time he enjoys playing soccer, playing the mandolin and fishing.


Dr. Kimberly Casavant-Chaves

Dr. Kimberly Casavant-Chaves

Dr. Kimberly Casavant-Chaves was born and raised in Fall River, Massachusetts. She graduated from the University of Hartford in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Chiropractic. She attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa the birthplace of the chiropractic profession graduating in 2010 with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.

Dr. Casavant-Chaves developed an interest in natural approaches to healthcare at an early age after her mother was injured in a serious car accident. Seeing chiropractic care help her mother when no other approach could, inspired her to make chiropractic her life’s work.

Dr. Casavant-Chaves’ clinical experience includes internships at the Palmer Clinic and the Salvation Army in Moline, IL and at the Crow Indian Reservation in Crow Agency, Montana where she provided chiropractic care to an underprivileged community with limited health care options. Dr. Casavant-Chaves completed her clinical education as a chiropractic intern at Westport Chiropractic.

Dr. Casavant-Chaves is trained in Active Release Technique, a comprehensive approach to treating musculoskeletal conditions in conjunction with traditional chiropractic care.


Dr. Geoffrey Berard

Dr. Geoffrey Berard

Dr. Geoffrey Berard has always had a passion for helping people attain their highest level of body function. From his background in exercise science to his career in Chiropractic, whole-body wellness and full and well-controlled movement have always been his biggest goals for each of his patients.

Graduating Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology/ Exercise Science, Dr. Berard had the privilege of working with NCAA Division I athletes. While completing the athletic training internship in the sports medicine department, he knew a career focus on the human body would suit him best. He went on to attend New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) in Seneca Falls, NY where he was the class vice president, member of the chiropractic honor society and received his Doctorate in Chiropractic.

At NYCC, Dr. Berard explored particular interest in rehabilitation, corrective exercises, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and postural taping. Dr. Berard is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and takes great pride in teaching individuals how to utilize the gym safely and optimally.

Dr. Berard utilizes multiple techniques such as Spinal and Extremity Manipulation, ART, Graston, Kinesiotaping and Corrective Exercises all to help facilitate the best possible patient outcomes.

Born and raised in Swansea, MA, Dr. Berard is happy to grow both his family and practice in the Commonwealth. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife: Kate, their two children: Peter and Vivienne, and their dog: Benny. He enjoys basketball, tennis, fantasy football, and working out when time allows.


Dr. Conor Sowersby

Dr. Conor Sowersby

A Westport local, Dr. Sowersby has lived in Westport since he was 6 years old. Because of his long history with Westport, Dr. Sowersby has formed a strong connection with both the town and the people who live in it. He graduated cum laude from Bristol Community College in 2013 with an Associate of Science. While at BCC Dr. Sowersby was the captain of the varsity basketball team. He attended Salem State University and graduated magna cum laude in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. While playing basketball for Salem State, Dr. Sowersby suffered a career-ending knee injury which sparked his interest in rehabilitation of athletes. This interest led him to Chiropractic. Dr. Sowersby went on to attend New York Chiropractic College graduating in 2020 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

Dr. Sowersby lives in Westport with his wife Vitalina. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, swimming, and reading.
